Lal Bahadur Shastri




Lal Bahadur Shastri was the 2nd Prime Minister Of India from 9 June 1964 to 11 January 1966 and a leader of the Indian National Congress party.He was the Minister Of External Affairs from 9 June 1964 to 18 July 1964.He was the Minister of Home Affairs from 4 April 1961 to 29 August 1963.Shastri joined the Indian Independence Movement in the 1920s.He  was born on 2 October 1904 at Ramnagar,Varanasi,United Provinces,British Raj( now in Uttar Pradesh ) into a Kayastha family.His father,Sharada Prasad Srivastava was a school teacher, who later become a clerk in the Revenue Office at Allahabad.His father died when he was a year old.His mother, Ramdulari Devi, took him and his 2 sisters to her father Hazari Lal's house and settled down there.He become the hero following the victory in the Indo-Pakistan War of 1965.His slogan of  " Jai Jawan Jai Kisan" ("hail the soldier, hail the farmer") became very popular during the war.The war was ended in the Tashkent Agreement of 10 January 1966.In 11 January 1966, he died in Tashkent,Soviet Union of a heart attack.

Bhagat Singh


Bhagat Singh was an Indian Socialist considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian Independence Movement. He organized the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. Bhagat Singh, a Sandhu Jat was born on 28 September 1907 to Kishan Singh and Vidyavati at chak no. 105,GB,Banga village,Jaranwala Tehsil in the Lyall pur district of the Punjab Province of British India in a Sikh family. His birth coincided with the release from jail of his father and 2 uncles, Ajit Singh and Swaran Singh.Bhagat Singh with Raju Guru and Sukhdev hanged in the early hours of 23 March 1931 in Lahore,Punjab,British India.



Contribution of Bhagat Singh was socialism and secularism.

Jawaharlal Nehru


Jawaharlal Nehru (Chachaji) was the first Prime Minister of India and a central figure in Indian Politics for much of the 20th century.He emerged as the paramount leader of the Indian Independence Movement under the tutelage of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and ruled India from its establishment as an independent nation in 1947 until his death in office in 1964.He was the Minister Of Defence for 3 times and Minister Of Finance for 2 times.He was Prime Minister Of India for 4 times from 15 August 1947 till 27 May 1964.He was born on 14 November 1889 at Allahabad,North Western Provinces, British India.His father's name was Motilal Nehru.He was married to Kamala Kaul in 1916. He had 1 daughter named :- "Indira Gandhi".He was died by heart stroke on 27 May 1964 in office.His birth date is celebrated as "Children's Day".



Contribution of Jawaharlal Nehru was for the development of science technology after the Independent India.

Subhas Chandra Bose




Subhas Chandra Bose was an Indian Nationalist whose defiant patriotism made him a hero in India, but whose attempt during World War II to rid India of British rule with the help of Nazi Germany and Japan left a troubled legacy.He is also known as Netaji ( respected leader ).Subhas Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897 at 12:10 PM at Cuttack, Odisha Division, Bengal Province, British India.He was the President of the Indian National Congress, Head Of State in 1938.In 1937, he was secretly married to Emilie Schenki without ceremony or witnesses.He had 1 daughter named Anita Bose Pfaff.He created a fleet of army named "Azad Hind Fauj" for the Indian Independence Movement and had given a slogan :-" Give me blood , I will give u freedom".




Contribution of Subhas Chandra Bose was the war of independence.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi




Mahatma Gandhi's full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.He was the preeminent leader of Indian Nationalism in British Ruled India.He was born on 2 October 1869 at Porbandar,Kathiawar Agency,British Indian Empire in a Hindu merchant caste family.His father's name was Karamchand Gandhi and his mother's name was Putlibai Gandhi.In 1883,the 13-year-old Mohandas was married to a 14-year-old girl Kasturba Makhanji.He had four sons named Harilal,Manilal,Ramdas and Devdas.Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was assassinated in the garden of the former Birla House( now Gandhi Smriti) at 5:17 PM on 30 January 1948.Gandhiji was on his way to address a prayer meeting,when his assassin, Nathuram Godse,fired 3 bullets from a Beretta 9 mm pistol into his chest at point black range.
